How to Get Silky-Soft-Smooth Skin
Summer Season = Beach Season. That means I have to start taking care of myself more than usual. But more than exercising and eating healthy to take care of my body, there are two skin issues that I’ve been wanting to eradicated in order to feel more comfortable in my own skin this season. My two nightmares: Dry skin and Ingrowing hairs!! If you have tried waxing or multiple hair removal methods and tons of moisturizing creams with no luck, well I completely understand you!! But no need to worry anymore. Today I am going to reveal to you a life-changing tip that has made my skin feel soft, moisturized and ingrowing-hair free! One word: Exfoliation!!
Yes, exfoliation is the answer to your skin issues. You’ve probably heard this a thousand times and read tons of magazines that suer by it. I started exfoliating a while ago but honestly, I didn’t see any changes until I did two things:
1. Be consistent
Consistency is the key to achieve any goals in your personal and professional life. The same goes for your skin journey. If you want to see changes you have to be consistent with your routine and the products that you use. I started exfoliating my legs once a week to see how my skin reacted to it. After seeing how soft my skin felt I started to exfoliate more often. Nowadays I exfoliate my legs 3 to 4 times a week. I know sometimes it can be annoying or you don’t have much time to do it. So, Multitask!! You can let your conditioner sit in your hair for a little longer while you exfoliate. It’s a win-win since conditioner works better when you have it on for a longer time!
2. Use natural products
I have a very sensitive skin. So sensitive that sometimes I am even scared of trying new products because they might break me out or make my skin extremely dry. To make my life easier and to deal with my skin issues without the fear of making the problem worse, I decided to only relay in natural products. Organic, Vegan and parabens free. At first, I would make my own exfoliant with coffee grounds and coconut oil, but after a few days the scrub will harden and its consistency would change. On a quest to find the perfect organic scrub I coincidentally stumble upon DANI Naturals
DANI Naturals is a beauty company based in Bend, Oregon. Their mission is to provide refreshing, nourishing, all-natural bath, body, and home products using the purest ingredients and fragrances available. And let’s not forget to mention that all of their products are cruelty-free. I’ve tried their sugar scrub and candle from the Coconut Hibiscus line and I couldn’t be happier with these products. I seriously hit the jackpot with the Coconut Hibiscus scrub. Since I started exfoliating with this scrub I’ve noticed my skin feels more soft to the touch, I keep getting less ingrowing hairs, and my moisturizing lotion has been working better than before since the exfoliation opens up my pores making the lotion penetrate in my skin. DANI naturals has definitely helped me achieve that silky-soft-smooth skin that I’ve always desired.
If you are as picky as I am with smells, well you are going to be happy to know that DANI Naturals not only have products made with natural ingredients that can nourish your skin, but they also have a delicious smell. I’ve tried the Coconut Hibiscus tin candle and it exceeded all my expectations. I’ve bought big $14 candles that bearly smell, so when I first lighted up DANI’s small candle I was so impressed by the long-lasting tropical smell. The smell transports you to the beach. If you don’t believe me, go try it for yourself and tell me about your experience!
